About the Role

Own and drive the technical direction of one of our highest-complexity client products. You'll architect systems that serve millions of daily users, mentor a squad of six engineers, and act as the primary technical authority in client conversations.

Key Responsibilities

Define and evolve system architecture across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers
Lead a squad of 5–7 engineers, conducting technical design sessions and code reviews
Partner directly with clients as a senior technical voice on roadmap and trade-off decisions
Own non-functional requirements: latency targets, reliability SLAs, security posture
Drive engineering-wide practices: RFC process, incident post-mortems, tech-debt triage
Mentor mid and senior engineers through structured growth frameworks

Requirements

8+ years of professional software engineering experience
Proven track record of designing and shipping large-scale distributed systems
Deep expertise in at least two of: Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Rust, or Java
Experience leading engineering squads in a consulting, product, or agency environment
Strong written and verbal communication — comfortable in client-facing technical discussions
Demonstrable ownership: systems, incidents, and outcomes, not just features

Nice to Have

Open-source contributions or published technical writing
Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis)
Fintech, healthcare, or logistics domain knowledge
