How we built a Stripe Connect-powered payment dashboard for a growing fintech — automating payouts, reconciling transactions, and giving the team real-time visibility into $8M in monthly volume.
About The Client
A US-based payment facilitation startup helping SaaS companies accept and disburse payments across multiple platforms, processing $8M in monthly transaction volume.

Technology Stack
The specific stack was chosen after evaluating the client's scalability requirements, compliance constraints, team capabilities, and long-term maintainability — not retrofitted to existing preferences.
ClearPath's transaction volume had grown 4x in 18 months, but their operational infrastructure hadn't kept up. Payment reconciliation required a full-time finance person cross-referencing Stripe reports against bank statements. Payouts to partner merchants were processed manually via CSV uploads. Disputes and chargebacks were tracked in a shared email inbox. With 12 employees and no engineering bandwidth for internal tools, the team was spending 40+ hours a month on manual payment operations that should have taken minutes.
40hrs
per month spent on manual payment reconciliation
Key Pain Points
40+ hours per month lost to manual payment reconciliation across Stripe accounts
Manual CSV-based payout processing — error-prone and non-scalable
Disputes and chargebacks tracked via shared inbox — no visibility or accountability
No real-time dashboard — leadership relied on end-of-month Stripe reports
Transaction data fragmented across multiple Stripe accounts with no unified view
We built a unified payment operations dashboard on top of Stripe Connect that consolidated all transaction data, automated merchant payouts, and surfaced real-time metrics. Rather than building a complex ML fraud engine or distributed microservices architecture, we focused on the core operations problem: giving ClearPath a single pane of glass for their entire payment flow, with automated reconciliation that eliminated the monthly spreadsheet grind.
A single Next.js dashboard consolidating transactions across all Stripe accounts — live volume, payout status, dispute tracking, and reconciliation reports. Role-based access for finance, operations, and leadership views.
Stripe Connect-powered automated payouts to partner merchants with split-payment routing, configurable settlement schedules (daily/weekly/monthly), and automated notification on completion or failure.
Automated transaction reconciliation matching Stripe payouts against bank statements. Exportable reports for accounting, configurable date ranges, and anomaly detection for unmatched transactions requiring manual review.
Structured dispute tracking replacing the shared inbox — status tracking, evidence submission deadlines, resolution logging, and automated alerts for time-sensitive chargeback responses.
Every engagement follows a disciplined, phased delivery methodology — built on transparency, measurable milestones, and continuous client collaboration throughout.
We mapped ClearPath's full payment flow — from transaction origination through settlement to merchant payout — identifying every manual touchpoint and data silo. The architecture was designed around Stripe Connect's native capabilities with a thin application layer for ClearPath's specific workflows.
We built the core dashboard and Stripe Connect integration first — giving the team live transaction visibility within 5 weeks. Automated payout processing replaced the CSV workflow, with a manual-review safety net for the first month of operation.
The automated reconciliation engine was built to match Stripe settlement reports against bank statement data, flagging exceptions for manual review. The dispute management workflow replaced the shared inbox with structured tracking, automated alerts, and evidence submission templates.
A two-week parallel run alongside the existing Stripe dashboard and CSV workflow. ClearPath's operations team was fully trained on the new system before the old processes were retired. Post-launch support included a 2-week observation period with daily check-ins.
Every number below is a verified, real-world outcome. No hypotheticals, no projections — these are the results delivered.

Unified Dashboard
Replaced multiple Stripe account dashboards and spreadsheets with one view
“Before App Corp, my finance person spent a full week every month reconciling Stripe accounts in spreadsheets. Now it happens automatically in the background. Payouts that used to take an afternoon of CSV wrangling now go out with a click. We're a 12-person company — we can't afford to lose 40 hours a month on things that should just work. App Corp understood our scale and built exactly what we needed, nothing more.”
